A FEW WORDS ABOUT US
Let us introduce ourselves
Coosewartha hosts a six berth holiday caravan situated in Mount Hawke, Cornwall. The caravan is run by me, Leila Polglase, and formerly my late husband, Brian, on a small holding, being a family run concern for a west country friendly touch.
So why Coosewartha? Well, Coosewartha is the name of the small holding where our six berth holiday caravan is located. Coosewartha is a Cornish name, and the true Cornish to English translation is ‘house in the woods‘. The woods have long since passed, but the small holding is still surrounded by beautiful countryside with easy access to both the well-known locations and the hidden secrets that Cornwall has to offer
A PLACE TO STAY AND TO PLAY

ABOUT THE AREA
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT CORNWALL
Stepping into one of Britain’s Celtic regions
Cornwall is the home to Celtic history and legend. Surrounded by three coasts of sea, the region was the home to King Arthur’s birthplace, tin mining for some of Britain’s first wealth and the beautiful mermaids which taunted sailor’s hearts. The Cornwall of today is a little different from those times, but it is a region still hosting quaint villages, bustling market towns and stretches of bright countryside which is simply unique.
It is both relaxing and exciting. Whilst Cornwall’s history lies in the forms of myth and legend, Cornwall’s future lies in the excitement of progress. The nationally famous Eden Project is open to all visitors, hosting a piece of nature from each corner of the Earth. There are also many other attractions which not only show off the region, but the innovativeness of its people and its welcome for people of all ages.
And let’s not forget the fact that it is surrounded by sea. Cornwall’s beaches are world famous, with Coosewartha itself only being a stone’s throw away from a beach. These are the places to relax, the places to surf, the places to swim and the places to explore. Even if it’s simply for a traditional west country ice cream.

ATTRACTIONS
Cornwall is full of attractions. Want to get an idea of them all? Luckily you don’t have to go off the beaten track if you don’t want to. To the left is the latest issue of the brochure for Cornish attractions. Inside, you’ll get a peek at what holiday activities Cornwall has to offer ranging from gardens to beaches to theme parks to zoos to performance. And that’s just a snippet. So feel free to have a gander.
Cornwall has a little something for everyone. You just have to find it
